Kirksville Young Professionals Group (KVYP)


Mission Statement: KVYP is a network of young professionals committed to the development of Kirksville’s community and future by facilitating professional development, connecting people, and engaging in community service.

History: The group was initiated by individuals who were passionate about retaining and bringing new talent to Kirksville. The board was established in February of 2010. In June of 2010, the board and steering committee hosted a kickoff event that was highly attended. Membership has been growing steadily ever since!

Membership Requirements

  • Ages 21-40
  • Must be passionate about professional and personal success
  • Must love our community and want to get more involved

Membership Dues

  • $40 per year

*Dues may be discounted after the first year based on completion of specific annual membership requirements.

Networking Happy Hours—KVYP offers monthly Networking Happy Hours at local Kirksville establishments for young professionals to mingle and make professional connections. 

Lunch and Learns—KVYP offers professional and personal development opportunities through our Lunch & Learn sessions. Lunch is provided. Recent topics include: home buying, healthy living, what you need to know about insurance, and a panel on how to get involved in community service organizations.

  • KVYP 5 Under 40 Banquet—This is a yearly banquet to recognize the accomplishments of young professionals in the Kirksville community.
