Health Care​

As the birthplace of  Osteopathic medicine, Kirksville has a rich medical heritage. Northeast Regional Medical Center(NRMC) is a comprehensive health care provider serving 11 counties, and is Northeast Missouri’s regional referral center.
Members of the Northeast health care system include Northeast Regional Health & Fitness Center, the Family Health Center of Edina, Northeast Regional Rehabilitative Services, and Northeast Home Health Services. Additionally, Northeast has a wound clinic, diabetes center, and offers a number of health programs and events. With more than 130 physicians representing 26 specialties and sub-specialties on its medical staff, Northeast Regional Medical Center is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association.
